Through the Night, We Walk Together in Hope
The Dirty Hands Project will be joining thousands of participants in the New York City Overnight Walk, walking from dusk until dawn to bring hope to those affected by suicide and to raise critical funds in support of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). This powerful overnight experience honors lives lost, supports those still struggling, and helps fund education, advocacy, research, and support programs.
Each team member is required to fundraise in order to participate in The Overnight. To make an online donation, please click the “Roster” button above and select a team member who has not yet reached the $1,000 fundraising minimum. From there, you can click on their name and use the “Donate” button on their individual fundraising page. While donations are made to individual walkers, every contribution counts toward our team’s overall fundraising goal. All donations are 100% tax deductible.

2026 Night Walk NYC — How It Works
The AFSP Out of the Darkness Overnight Walk is a meaningful fundraising and awareness event organized by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), bringing people together to walk through the night in support of suicide prevention and mental health education. Participants walk more than 16 miles from dusk until dawn, uniting in community to honor loved ones, share stories, and raise vital funds for prevention efforts.
After registering, each walker receives guidance and support, including a fundraising coach to help plan training and meet the minimum fundraising goal. Walkers commit to raising at least $1,000 to participate (with reduced minimums available for students and military families). Every dollar raised fuels AFSP research, education, advocacy, and support programs aimed at reducing suicide and promoting mental health for individuals and families nationwide.
Team Dirty Hands Project will walk 18 miles from dusk to dawn with AFSP with the sole mission of stopping suicide.
After registering, each walker gets support, including a fundraising coach, to help train and reach the $1,000 minimum fundraising goal.
